Landlord/Tenant

You should schedule a Landlord/Tenant Counseling session if you need help in resolving a landlord/Tenant problem, (e.g. you are being evicted, landlord won’t make repairs, signing and understanding your lease, retaliatory action, etc.  Please make sure to bring all required documents to your appointment.

Locate Housing

Clients should schedule a Locate Housing Counseling session if they need help in locating affordable housing.  A counselor will explain the process of locating affordable housing, assist them in preparing a financial analysis, set up family budget, answer all questions pertaining to rental process, assist in resolving problems which may prevent or delay rental, prepare client for good and long lasting tenancy, provide a list of affordable housing and assist them in applying for affordable housing.

Rental Housing Search

Renters should schedule a free Rental Housing Search counseling session if they need assistance locating rental housing.  A counselor will discuss strategies for finding a rental home how to look good to prospective landlords rental assistance programs and credit issues.  Please make sure to bring all required documents to your appointment. Before scheduling an appointment for Rental Housing Search counseling, clients are encouraged to attend HCS’s free On the Move workshop.
